I spent over 110 days living in the beach town of San Pedro, and after travelling to over 20 countries last year, I can honestly say that Belize would be one of my top recommendations for those seeking a remote work location.
Drift Inn has Wi-Fi, and you can easily find many cafes / bars in town, where you can connect to the web. There is even wi-fi on the dock! There’s nothing quite like answering emails on your laptop while you watch a school of dolphins dance just a few feet from you.
As someone who operates on a very limited “backpacking budget,” I found day-to-day life in Belize to be extremely affordable, especially compared to the high-prices of Europe and America. Belize is also home to countless expats and international travelers, making its cities great hubs for networking and collaboration. Once you get to Belize, you’ll see just how easy a few days stay can turn into a few weeks!
